The commercial success of the Fisker Karma was relatively short-lived compared to the hype that it created in the mass markets. However, even with everything put into it, the Fisker Karma has been discontinued, and the Fisker Automotive company no longer exists in its original form. Besides, the solar-powered interior features also added to Karma's futuristic design. The Karma was one of its kind, featuring a 2-liter gasoline engine and two 120kW motors that powered the vehicle. If you are not familiar with the name, Henrik Fisker is the same guy who designed the Aston Martin DB9 and BMW Z8. The futuristic four-seater sports sedan design of the Fisker Karma was conceptualized by none other than the CEO of Fisker Automotive, Henrik Fisker. In 2008, the Karma was way ahead of its time in design and featured a futuristic appearance and a hybrid engine. The Fisker Karma was one of the world's first production luxury plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (EV). ![]() When Fisker Automotive unveiled the Fisker Karma for the first time back in 2008 at the North American International Auto Show, it was nothing less than something straight out of the Jetson series.
